  • How many days is the tour?

You have 8 days of fun on this tour. 6 of which will be spent on the bike.

  • Where does the tour start and finish?

The tour starts at the domestic terminal of Yangon Airport where the group will take a flight to Heho. Flight departure will be between 10:00am - 11:30am.

It ends in Bagan where you can take domestic flights from Nyaung-u Airport (NYU) to Mandalay or Yangon.

  • How many riders will be in the group?

It's hard to say how many will be joining the tour. However to keep it personal the maximum number of participants is 14 and minimum is 2.

  • What's the riding like?

The terrain is a mix of sealed and unsealed roads on secondary roads and quiet country lanes. Wherever possible the aim is not to cycle on roads with traffic. The operator has been adjusting the route over time in order to achieve this.

There are three sustained climbs over the trip, the longest of which is 7km (4.35mi). These are generally not steep and once you are into a riding rhythm, you will find them quite achievable. It is important to understand that you must be comfortable with riding on rough surfaces. The dirt trails do feature holes, gravel, sand and other obstacles, while the roads are often potholed. There is always a support vehicle on hand to give you a lift if you need a break from the riding.

  • Are bike hires included?

Included in the tour are quality, well-maintained GT and Merida mountain bikes in a full range of sizes. They have been fitted with full hydraulic brakes and hybrid tires for touring. Handlebar bags for your personal possessions and comfortable saddles are also provided, with a women's specific version available.

  • Are helmets required?

A helmet is required to be worn on all biking activities and is non-negotiable. If you do not wear a helmet you won't be allowed to cycle.
