From the famous leg-rowing fisherman to communities practising traditional silk-weaving and the distinct stilt house neighbourhoods, living an entirely water-based life, Inle Lake is an essential stop in this captivating region.

Myanmar has recently opened up to visitors and so is still a relatively new destination for travellers, adding to its intrigue. This 8-day tour takes in the incredible pagodas and temples of Bagan, an ancient archaeological site with litreally thousands of monuments, in differing states of preservation. You will also ride through amazingly diverse countryside, getting completely off the beaten track and meeting curious locals in remote and spectacular surrounds. Other highlights include an engaging visit to an elephant sanctuary, exploring the Golden Cave of Pindaya and experiencing the delights of this charming and enchanting nation by bike.
