This one day ride takes you out to tranquil places where rice is grown and pace of life is slow. See that family, friends and the Buddhist faith are what is important to Thai people and that a good crop and healthy lifestyle are what puts a broad smile on people’s faces.
Visit markets where the fresh produce is artfully displayed. Sampling the fruits in season will make sure you will not run out of energy throughout this picturesque day. Pass by temples where you can stop and make an offering. The ride will take you through open plains, and, for some variety, you’ll take short cuts through lush rice paddies as you head towards the forests and mountains that surround this area.
Country roads at the base of a mountain range will bring you to the Sankampaneng Hot Springs where, if you can stand the heat, you can have a dip in the natural mineral springs that are said to be curative and rejuvenating.
What do you see? This one day ride takes you out into the Northern Thai countryside. Ride through lush rice paddies and see local craftsmen at work in their trade. Visit the Sankampaeng markets where the fresh produce is sold daily and pass by temples that represent the centre of the community and the soul of the people.
Lunch is served in a small local restaurant with a menu of tasty noodle soups, and some lively curries if you like a bit of spice. Lots of stops to sample fruits in season.
This trip is suitable for all levels of riders and is an excellent trip for families. Tag-alongs and baby seats are available.
