My son (23) and I did a 7-day ride from the highlands (Dalat), to the coast of Vietnam, ending in Hoi An. From the first day at Ho Chi Min Airport it was an amazing adventure. Our team leader Thang, organised the trip seamlessly, all we had to think about was riding, enjoying the beautiful scenery, the amazing and abundant meals, and getting enough rest to start biking days. Vichet, who rode with us was amazingly patient, and kind and made sure that we were all taken care of. We got to meet amazing people, who were riding in our group of 7. They were so wonderful and it was such a pleasure to get to know riders from all over the world. We rode through beautiful and friendly villages and got to see beautiful vietnam. The food that Thang ordered for us (family style), was some of the best food that I have ever eaten. So delicious. Thang always ordered in abundance, and we always had more than enough. The day before our tour ended, my son and I were so sad to see it end. We spent a month travelling through Cambodia, Vietnam and Thailand. This was the absolute highlight of our trip and Vietnam was my favourite country, so warm, kind and genuine, not to mention absolutely beautiful. Thank you Thang, Vichet, the support team and Grasshopper Tours for this beautiful trip. I would definitely recommend this tours and Grasshopper.

My mum and I did the 7 day ride from Da Lat to Hoi An a couple of weeks ago and it was the highlight of my 3 week trip in Vietnam. I had already done a couple of single day rides with Grasshopper Adventures in Cambodia and was confident they would be great hosts for a multi-day ride. The 7 day ride exceeded all my expectations.

Our tour guide, Thang, was professional, organised and very friendly. He made sure to spend time with each of the 7 riders in our group and ensured all the logistics worked out seamlessly. Vichet was also riding with us each day as another assisting guide/mechanic. Together, Thang and Vichet ensured that each rider was comfortable in their own riding abilities and made the ride enjoyable for everyone.

The food along the tour was amazing and plentiful. Thang picked the best meals for us at each restaurant we ate lunch & dinner at. Fresh fruit and other nutritional snacks were laid out at every rest stop. Our water bottles were constantly refilled by the support team travelling by van & truck with cold water. The accommodation was also great each night. We had a variety of standards of accommodation with 5 star hotels in more populous towns and the best accommodation available in the smaller rural towns.

I believe it is the best way to see the true side of a country and the perfect way to be introduced to a new culture at the beginning of a trip. I made some great friends on our ride and definitely plan on doing more rides in the future.

If you're travelling through Asia, do yourself a favour and book a single or multi-day ride with Grasshopper Adventures. You won't regret it!
