The Annapurna Circuit Biking is adventure cycling at an altitude of 5000 m (16,404 ft) plus on the top of the snow-covered pass, called the Thorong La Pass, the highest point in the Annapurna Region. This biking route has rough terrain, stones, pebbles, steep hills, and descending trails, which will challenge you, as well as give you a new kind of biking touring, away from your homeland, in the Himalayan Region of Nepal. This is also an uphill biking trail, in which you have to carry a cycle for 4 hours from the top of the pass, and then cycle downward to Beni.

Itinerary Details

  1. Day 1Arrival in Kathmandu (1400 m/4593 ft)

    After your arrival at the Tribhuwan International Airport, you will find the tour operator outside the airport with a banner. If you arrive in the evening or at the middle of the night, they will take you straight to the hotel. If you arrive in the day, you will be taken to the office, where you will learn about your trip in detail. If you have free time in the day, then you can use it to visit the places that are around your hotel, most probably, you will be staying in Thamel, which is a lively part of the city.  You can also ask any questions related to your trip. You will also sign a non-liability disclaimer paper. You will also be provided with a free duffel bag and a T-Shirt.

  2. Day 2Drive to Besisahar (760m/2493ft)

    From the capital of Nepal, you will be driven to Besisahar (760m/2493ft). It's a 6  to 7 hour drive which will give you a glimpse of local life along the road.

  3. Day 3Ride from Besisahar to Tal (1,700m/5,570ft)

    After having breakfast, you will ride on a trail that follows the Marshyangdi River and ascends uphill until it reaches an elevation of 1000 m (3280 ft) plus, and then goes through beautiful villages, where you will stop for lunch. Not only are the villages beautiful, but also the waterfalls and the Marshyangdi River.

  4. Day 4Ride from Tal to Chame (2,670 m/8,759 ft)

    As you ride today, you will leave the Marsyangdi River behind, but you will see the beautiful view of mountains, such as Annapurna II and Pisang Peak, as well as go through green corn, barley and potato fields, and eventually reach a steep hill before stepping into Danaque, from where the biking trail is wide and easy. Ahead, there are lots of waterfalls, and the biking trail heads off to Chame.

  5. Day 5Ride from Chame to Manang (3,540 m/11,614 ft)

    The biking trail ascends through pine trees in the valley and becomes dusty as you ride on the trail that goes through small villages that leads you to new places from where you will see panoramic views of mountains, including Annapurna II, in addition to lush green forest and beautiful meadows from where you will head off to Manang, the next stop.

  6. Day 6Acclimatization Day in Manang and Visit Tilicho Lake

    Today, you will spend the day sightseeing and visiting villages, as well as hiking. You can also hike to Tilcho Lake, which was referred to by the leader of the French expedition as ‘The Great Ice Lake’, and will take 3 hours to reach this lake, which holds an important place for the Hindus.

  7. Day 7Ride from Manang to Thorong Phedi (4,450 m/14,559 ft)

    You will leave Manang after having breakfast and ride uphill to reach Yak Kharka, and the ride goes from one high elevation to another higher elevation. As a result, biking becomes hard today compared to yesterday, so you will have to be prepared mentally to overcome the challenges during the ascent of the highest trail of the day.

  8. Day 8Ride from Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,760 m/12,335 ft) via Thorong La Pass (5,416 m/17,769 ft)

    Reaching the top of theThorong La Pass takes 4 hours, but when you reach there, you will be filled up with complete joy, and you might love to take a lot of photos because of the view of the breath-taking mountains before heading to Muktinath, which is all downhill from the top of the pass.

  9. Day 9Ride from Muktinath to Tukuche (2,590 m/8497 ft) via Lupra Valley

    Muktinath is one of the most important destinations for Hindu pilgrims, as well as for the Buddhists. You will visit Muktinath Temple. There is also a Buddhist Monastery nearby.  You can enjoy the magnificent view of Dhaulagiri peak from Muktinath. You will be riding downhill to Jomsom and Tukuche.

  10. Day 10Ride from Tukuche to Tatopani (1,190 m/3,904 ft)

    It is an easy ride from Tukuche because the biking trail goes downhill, but from Rukse Chaahara, the downhill trail is challenging, as well as enjoyable, and heads off to Tatopani, a natural hot spring, where you can dip to get rid off the exhaustion, a refreshing bath that will prepare you for tomorrow's biking.

  11. Day 11Ride from Tatopani to Beni (899 m/2949 ft) and Jeep Ride to Pokhara (830 m/2723 ft)

    Today is the last of Annapurna Circuit Biking, and the biking is easy to do, as well as enjoying the municipality features of Beni. This is the ending point of the biking, and the biking trail before this point is downhill in nature, and from this point, you will take a jeep to go to Pokhara, the city of lakes.

  12. Day 12Drive from Pokhara to Kathmandu (Approx. 6 Hours) and Farewell Dinner

    It is a 7-hour drive from  Pokhara to Kathmandu. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner in a Nepali restaurant, where you can see a Nepali dance. There will be Nepali music as well as Nepali songs. There is a lot of tourist activities that you can do in Nepal. Some of these are jungle safari, biking, and mountain flight. You can extend your trip if you have time.

  13. Day 13Departure from Nepal

    Today is the last day of your trip.  The tour operator will make sure that you reach the Tribhuwan International Airport in time for departure.
