History buffs, culture aficionados and nature lovers rejoice, because this action-packed cycling adventure through the delightful countryside of Central Thailand will tick every box for you. Absorb the majesty of temples in the ancient city of Ayutthaya, jostle for the best spot at the floating markets, or just marvel at the beauty and simplicity of life in the central plains of Thailand.

Backed up by knowledgeable local guides you’ll quickly abandon the busy streets of Bangkok to head for the hustle and bustle of the waterways at Damnoen Saduak – Thailand’s largest and most colorful floating market. Taking a boat out, you’ll be introduced to the quirky art of haggling for the best products at the market and believe us, they sell everything.

Switching onto bikes you’ll be able to explore at a gentle pace the underrated and verdant countryside of Thailand. Navigating your way through lush vegetation, your nostrils will pick up the glorious scents of aloe vera and coconut plantations, while there could also be a range of glorious tropical fruits ripe for picking, if the season is right.

Just as Thailand is ripe with fruit, so it is with unique history and that is evident when you reach the town of Kanchanaburi. This town is home to numerous sites, including the Bridge Over the River Kwai, the World War II Museum and Cemetery, and the Death Railway, all of which you will have the time to explore.

Back on the bikes you’ll gently follow the soothing pace of the rivers of Chao Phraya and Mae Klong through central Thailand. You’ll also take to quiet back roads to soak up the bliss of the way of travelling by two wheels.

The final destination is the ancient city and former capital of Siam, Ayutthaya. Situated on the banks of the river it’s clear to see why it’s referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’; the last day is spent exploring this ancient empire’s vast array of temples on foot and on two wheels before heading back to Bangkok packed full with incredible memories.
