Itinerary Details

  1. Day 1Friday

    Arrival in Beaune. Check in at the hotel 3* in the very center of Beaune. Delivery of the road book, maps and tourist brochures and bicycles. Overnight stay at hotel. (Dinner not included tonight, but the tour operator will provide suggestions).

  2. Day 2Saturday – Loop ride north from Beaune – Côte de Nuits vineyards

    After a restorative sleep, the buffet breakfast will help you get the day started off on the right foot! Then, you will have some time to visit the Saturday market in Beaune.

    Today’s ride will take you North from Beaune heading to the Grand Cru vineyards of Corton and Corton Charlemagne, before entering into Cote de Nuits vineyards. You will cross the famous and charming wine-making villages of Vosne Romanée, Vougeot (with its Château Clos de Vougeot), Chambolle Musigny, Gevrey Chambertin. Back by train to Beaune at the end of afternoon.

  3. Day 3Sunday – Loop ride south from Beaune – Côte de Beaune vineyards

    After the breakfast, at your own pace along the back roads surrounded by vineyards.

    In July 2015 “the Climats”, vineyards of Burgundy, have been included on the World Heritage list by UNESCO as a unique cultural site. There are many ways to discover it – one of the most pleasant ways is to do it by cycling. And this route is perfect for cycling! You wind through endless vineyards and find yourself in the most charming villages: Pommard, Volnay, …

    The ride is nice and flat all day long and then curves back in towards the famous vineyards of Meursault and Puligny-Montrachet, charming villages which make the best white Chardonnay wines in the world. Back to Beaune in the afternoon. Overnight stay in the same hotel.

  4. Day 4Monday - Departure

    Breakfast. Check-out from the hotel before noon. The end of your Burgundy escape.
