These two spectacular neighboring countries are full of majestic ranges perfect for mountain biking and that’s what you'll do on this incredible adventure as you head into the remote highlands of both countries to gaze down upon stunning landscapes.
This is a challenging ride as you tackle numerous climbs, but the end of each uphill battle presents rewards like none other in the world with spectacular views over green rice fields and limestone mountains.
Having soaked up the unique and fascinating history of Vietnam’s capital, Hanoi, you'll head to the former French colonial hill station of Sapa. This popular getaway is an introduction to the first gentle climbs as you tackle dirt tracks and revel in the greenery. The tour moves through the gears as you head further into the remote mountain valleys.
Everywhere you look green sprawling land surrounds you, but in the valleys of the mountains dazzling color pops up in the vibrant hill tribes you'll be fortunate to meet. These include the Hmong, Dai and Tsao from whom you'll learn about their culture from local and experienced guides.
The last stop in Vietnam is the historic city of Dien Bien Phu, an important landmark location where the country secured its independence from French colonization in a brutal battle in 1954. It is a fascinating place to explore before bidding farewell and rolling your wheels into the land of Laos.
Given the arduous cycling, it is vital to rest and the quiet riverside village of Muang Ngoy has been picked to be place for you to rest your tired legs.
