    The tour starts and ends in Buonconvento, Italy where you will be collected from the train station.

    Pisa (PSA), Florence (FLR) and Bologna (BLQ) airports have regular international and low-cost flights.

    Florence airport (FLR) has regular international flights. Several low cost carriers serve Pisa (PSA) and Bologna (BLQ).

    From Florence airport (FLR), take the bus to Santa Maria Novella train station and then a train to Buonconvento (change in Siena).

    From Pisa airport (PSA), take the train to Buonconvento (with 2/3 changes, depending on time. You always have to change at Pisa Centrale).

    From Bologna (BLQ), take a bus to Bologna Centrale train station then a train to Buonconveto (change in Florence and in Siena).

    The tour is 8 days long with 6 days cycling.

  • What's the tour like?

    This tour is classified as a moderate trip on hilly terrain, with very little shade on roads and with a daily climb of 350 to 750m (1148-2460ft). The rides follow mostly well-asphalted country lanes and smooth turf roads (approx. 35% of the time) with very little traffic. More traffic near larger towns as you would expect.
