Itinerary Details

1. Day 1Arrive Montreal

   Upon arriving at the hotel, make sure to check in under your own name. At 7:00 PM, you will meet in the hotel lobby for introductions amongst the group and have a thorough tour orientation.

2. Day 2Dorval to Cornwalll

   The journey kicks off just west of Montreal, where you'll cycle along the picturesque Soulanges Canal Trail for the initial 15+ miles. Afterward, you'll navigate peaceful riverside roads, tracing the scenic St. Lawrence River as you head towards Cornwall, your destination for the night.

3. Day 3Cornwall to Prescott

   Today's ride promises an abundance of unique experiences! Setting out from your hotel, you'll cover 5 miles to reach the Lost Villages Museum, named after the villages that were submerged to create the St. Lawrence Seaway. Here, several buildings from these sunken towns have been relocated to preserve their rich history. Continuing your journey, you'll hit the 20-mile mark and arrive at Upper Canada Village, home to over 40 historic buildings moved to this site for preservation. Here, the staff, dressed in period attire, bring the rural Canadian life of 1866 to vibrant life.
   
   As you pedal forward, you'll face a choice: either spend a few hours exploring Upper Canada Village before heading to the 43-mile pickup point, or embark on the full 54-mile route leading to your splendid accommodation at Dewar's Inn on the River. There, you'll be treated to a delightful pizza night and the opportunity to bask in the sunset from their enchanting deck!

4. Day 4Prescott to Gananoque (Overnight Kingston)

   Your day kicks off with a brief shuttle to Brockville, designed to steer clear of busy roads and allowing you the chance to explore the fascinating Brockville Rail Tunnel. Following a 5-mile stretch on the road, you'll seamlessly transition onto the 1000 Islands Scenic Trail, offering breathtaking views of the St. Lawrence River and the Thousand Islands from every angle.
   
   Upon reaching Gananoque, pause for a leisurely lunch and then be treated to a scenic cruise of the Thousand Islands. After the cruise, the afternoon is yours to explore the charming town of Gananoque at your own pace. Later, hop in the van for a shuttle to the lively and historically rich Kingston, where you'll spend the night.

5. Day 5Kingston to Picton

   Your ride today is smooth and leisurely, following a nearly straight path from Kingston to the scenic town of Picton. Upon arrival, take your time to immerse yourself in this vibrant community. Explore the enchanting Bird House City, admire the beautiful harbour, and stroll down the charming main street adorned with delightful shops and restaurants.

6. Day 6Picton to Cobourg

   Your cycling journey culminates in the picturesque town of Cobourg, boasting its fabulous beach. You have the flexibility to opt for a shorter cycling route (48 miles) and indulge in a leisurely afternoon by the beach. Alternatively, you can challenge yourself with the full 63 miles.
   
   Regardless of your choice, you're in for a treat in Cobourg. Explore the town's charming main street and savour the beautiful views of the lake. As the day winds down, rest in the night's lodging, the historic King George Inn, a unique establishment converted from an old colonial jail into a charming and quirky inn!

7. Day 7Cobourg to Whitby

   Today is all about riding and gliding, offering you a leisurely and picturesque cycling experience along the northern shore of Lake Ontario. You'll pause at Darlington Beach to enjoy a picnic lunch and some relaxation on the sandy shores before resuming our journey to Oshawa, where you'll be staying for the night.

8. Day 8Whitby to Scarborough

   On your final day of cycling, prepare to be captivated by the breathtaking scenery and unparalleled views of Lake Ontario as you cover the last 30 miles, leading you to Guild Park.

9. Day 9Departure

   The tour ends with an optional return shuttle to Burlington, VT (additional fees apply). Those going back to Montreal can take Via Rail Canada.
