This tour is almost identical, with regards to the itinerary, with the other tour of the same name listed here. This is the self-guided version, where you travel independently, without a guide and group, but armed with extensive directions, maps and the tour operator a phone call away if you have any doubts. The benefit of self-guided tours are that you can travel at your own pace, albeit within a daily structure or loose itinerary, and that you can have your own privacy of travelling within your small group, couple or solo. All accommodations and lunches/dinners (where applicable) are booked for you but you do need to supply your own transport for days 2, 4 and 5.

South Australia is already world famous for its wines and is quickly becoming equally as famous for cycling, especially with the successful Tour Down Under professional event in January each year. But perhaps what is less known is the network of wonderful, off-road trails that pass right through the heart of this beautiful region. South Australia has developed a fantastic network of cycling trails that make cycling safe, fun and accessible for just about anyone.

The cycling on this tour is relatively easy and could be completed by even a novice rider. This tour is the ultimate combination of fun, stress-free cycling, with beautiful scenery and gourmet food and wine to savour. The landscape varies across the three regions, from vast rows of world-class vineyards and old farm trucks of the Barossa, to the historic cellar doors and Lutheran history in the Clare, to the more modern ocean vistas of the McLaren Vale region. And it all starts and ends in lovely Adelaide, fast becoming one of Australia's highest-rated tourist cities. In fact, Lonely Planet named Adelaide in the Top 10 Cities to Visit in 2018.

Join this self-guided tour or the guided version shown here; either way, savour this quintessential Australian experience.

Note: This is a self guided tour, so you can start on any day or date that suits you, subject to accommodation availability.
