Tremendous guide in Prasert (Sert). He had a unique blend of enthusiasm, humor, support, and overwhelming motivation to be sure we were satisfied with all aspects of the trip.

Some very tough hills! I expected the climbing to be more like in Europe, where we use switchbacks, but in Thailand, it’s just straight on! 15-20% sections aplenty. Great value for money as the guides, accommodation and food were amazing. I will definitely choose SpiceRoads again.
Our guides Sert & Noom were brilliant - good company, calm and encouraging. Fabulous scenery, great food! The tour had some severe testing climbs at up to 23%!. You really need a minimum of 32t on your rear cassette.
Northern Thailand roads are every cyclists' dream. We also had great food and great weather as a bonus!

Wonderful tour, led by two fantastic leaders Noom and Sert, always supportive and helpful, and an excellent support team alongside us. Hard cycling, but with the support of the full team, we successfully completed the route. A great route, spectacular scenery and good accommodation, and brilliantly organized.

An outstanding trip – extremely well organized and professionally run by the tour guide leader Noom and his team of ride guides, mechanics and drivers. Beautiful scenery, superb road riding and relentlessly excellent food! Definitely recommended.
Some tips…. Early starts and overnights stays in the high mountains can be cold during winter season, so bring warm kit. Walking around the refreshment points, restaurants and short walks to viewpoints on rough surfaces is hard on your cleats. OK if using SPD type MTB shoes but recommend bringing cleat covers if using road cleats. Also, you may want to walk up some of the climbs. Whilst they are not particularly long, they can be fairly steep (15-20%) in places. And, if bringing your own bike - a compact chainset and at least a 28-tooth cog on the rear cassette should get you up the climbs OK.
Guide Goi who was an excellent tour host and ride guide in all aspects and his enthusiasm and lively personality really helped the tour sparkle. The hotels were very good to excellent.

The North Thailand by Road tour is a very challenging and rewarding experience. All the accommodation was A1 and countryside that we road through was some of the most picturesque that I've had the pleasure of seeing.

The guides were unbelievably obliging and efficient and nothing was too much trouble for them. I was highly impressed by the quality of the cycling and the trip overall. Noom was quieter but extremely polite, helpful and efficient and both complemented each other.
Noom, Mr Thai and Dom were fantastic guides and support. The riding was incredible and so was the food. The trip was flawless. We really did have the most amazing week - we will be coming back for more Spice Roads tours!
