Starting and ending in Adelaide, you'll be transferred out to the Flinders Ranges by comfortable minibus. The tour encompasses 4 days of mountain bike riding the Flinders Ranges by loop with one extra morning ride at the MTB mecca of Melrose. You'll need to have a decent level of fitness and be an experienced mountain biker to get the most out of this tour, and be able to ride 4 - 5hrs a day covering 50 - 60km (31-37mi) on rough and sometimes technical terrain. Whilst much of the trails are fairly straight forward, there are also sections that are technically more challenging, and novice riders will need to test themselves! You will need plenty of stamina, but a reasonably fit rider should have no problems. Vehicle support is also provided by a van.
You will also visit and ride at Melrose, a stunning town in the Southern Flinders Ranges, which has opened it’s doors and land to mountain bikers. You will explore the singletrack trails of this mecca of mountain biking to offer you another side to the riding in this stunning area of Australia. Group sizes are from four with a maximum of eight, so everyone is well looked after while enjoying the magical Flinders Ranges. Every night you will stop and stay at an Outback station in comfortable accommodation- either historic cottages, renovated shearers quarters or historic hotels.
