  1. Day 1Arrive Jaipur

    Arrive in Jaipur in time to meet for dinner and a trip briefing.

  2. Day 2Jaipur Tour

    Today the group will explore the many sights of the Pink City of Jaipur. You'll visit the City Palace, the former residence of the Maharaja, and the observatory of Jai Singh, and see the honeycombed sandstone windows of the Palace of the Winds as well as the majestic Amber Fort.

  3. Day 3Jaipur – Pushkar

    Today the riding begins! The day starts with a transfer to escape the city traffic and then it's time to get on the bikes. The country road will twist and turn as you ride past the ruins of Boraj Fort and past fields of millet, mustard seed and wheat. Today's end destination is Pushkar, a holy town which every Hindu should visit once in their life.

  4. Day 4Pushkar – Ras

    Today opens with a ride past the grounds of Pushkar's yearly camel fair on the edge of the desert. You will likely pass many herds of farm animals, from cows to goats to camels, and village life will be on full display as you ride to Ras, a tiny town that wraps itself around the palace and fort. You'll overnight at the palace.

  5. Day 5Ras to Chandelao

    Some varied riding through the flat terrain with some dirt roads to take the group truly off the beaten track. Riding through grazing grounds you'll likely have to ride through herds of cows, water buffaloes, sheep, goats and maybe even camels herded by men in brightly coloured turbans. Tonight's accommodations are at the cozy Chandelao Garh, a former fortification converted into an eco hotel.

  6. Day 6Rest Day

    A break from the bikes today for an excursion to Jodphur, the blue city. Here the group will visit mighty Meherangarh Fort which hovers over the city. After the tour you'll be free to explore the town and have some lunch on your own before the drive back to peaceful Chandelao.

  7. Day 7Chandelao – Jojawar

    The group will join the parade of locals heading out of the village today. They are going to work in their fields of jowar, mustard and lentils. There will be a good chance of seeing demoiselle cranes who migrate to the area and maybe blue back antelopes. There will be a riding break at the art deco hunting lodge of Sardar Samand, which has views across a vast lake. Tonight you'll overnight at a beautifully restored Rawla – literally meaning the abode of the local chieftain.

  8. Day 8Jojawar – Ranakpur

    The Araveli range will be always be on your left as you ride towards the Jain temples of Ranakpur where, of its 1444 marble pillars carved in exquisite detail, no two are the same.

  9. Day 9Ranakpur – Fort Kumbhalgarh

    The first long uphill of the tour awaits! You'll be riding through the Kumbhalgarh Wildlife Sanctuary as you ascend the Araveli range. The grade is gentle and there will be plenty of time for the 10 km climb. Having reached the plateau, the rest of the ride will undulate until the approach to the hulking hilltop fortress of Kumbhalgarh, where the road steepens.

  10. Day 10Fort Kumbhalgarh – Udaipur

    A great day of cycling through the rolling countryside, starting from the lofty heights of the Araveli Hills and riding down through the barren lowlands to the lake city of Udaipur.

  11. Day 11Udaipur Loop

    This morning the group will ride directly from the hotel into the green countryside of Udaipur and visit the Monsoon Palace, which offers stunning views of the city. You'll return to the city by riding around Fateh lake and have lunch lakeside. After a sunset boat ride on the lake the group will have its farewell dinner with views of the beautifully illuminated city.

  12. Day 12Departure

    You'll be transferred to the airport for your onward journey. If you have time, a tour of the Taj Mahal can be arranged for you.
