A classic Mongolian mountain biking tour that traverses the Khangai mountain range which covers nearly a fifth of the country’s territory. It is an immense mountain biking playground with fantastic packed soils, diverse terrain and spectacular landscapes. The region is dominated by dome shaped mountains, mixed woods, clear streams and lush grassy valleys. It is also a home to authentic nomadic culture. Every day you will see vast flocks of yaks and goats as well massive herds of horses excitedly galloping across your path. Hospitable nomads will certainly wave you in for a bowl of milk or a slice of yak butter. This is a trip that will be difficult to forget!

Spend your nights in comfortable hotels, tent and yurt camps.

Most of the nights on the tour are spent in well facilitated mobile tent camps. All camping equipment down to camp showers and washing bowls is transported by a technical vehicle. Spacious 3 person tents are provided on a twin share basis. Single travelers are allocated 2 person tents respectively to allow plenty of room for personal luggage and gear. Triple, twin and single placement is applied during the few nights in traditional Mongolian yurts. A cozy social tent with tables and chairs is erected at campsites whereas yurt camps have designated restaurants and bars. The traditional nature of yurt camps limits en-suite facilities but allows clean and comfortable communal showers and bathrooms.

If you are traveling alone, the tour operator will arrange for you to share accommodation with another traveler of the same gender and if they cannot match you up they will provide a single room at no extra charge. If you prefer not to share, a single supplement is payable to guarantee your own room.
