Make memories with your family on this 3-day jaunt at beautiful Hawke's Bay. Cycle phenomenal pathways safely, breathe in the fresh air and have loads of fun with the many activities that the region has to offer for both adults and kids. Everything has been organized and all that's needed is for everyone to jump on the bikes and cycle away.
Start the family cycle at the port village of Ahuriri and follow the coast until everyone reaches Napier City, a world-renowned Art Deco treasure. There is heaps to do in the city along with the included family passes to Par2 Mini Golf and National Aquarium of New Zealand. It's a jam-packed first day which finishes with transfers to your accommodations where dinner can be spent in one of the nearby family-friendly restaurants.
Cycle the Puketapu Loop trail on the second day where the family can ride along the Tutaekuri River and head for the local pub that's famous for its mouthwatering burger. Save some space in your tummies for a trip to Silky Oak Chocolate Factory then burn off some energy as everyone heads over to the Otatara Historic Pa site, Atea a Rangi (star compass) or take a refreshing dip in the Tutaekuri River swim hole.
On the last day of this adventure, explore Ahuriri Village and cycle along the Ahuriri Estuary. The kids will have a blast spotting the wildlife and birds that abound in the area. Just before heading home, try fishing from the wharf or swim at the local beach. The adventure may be coming to an end but the memories created in Hawke's Bay will be something that the whole family won't easily forget.
