Itinerary Details

  1. Day 1Arrive Phnom Penh and Group Dinner

    Upon arrival in Phnom Penh, meet your guide at the airport and transfer to your hotel in Phnom Penh for check-in. Enjoy the rest of the day to explore Phnom Penh. Kindly note that check-in time is at 14:00. You may wish to take a stroll along the riverside, a great place for a cold drink and watching the sunset. Tonight (7.30pm), we meet to enjoy a welcome dinner with your fellow riders and guides.

  2. Day 2Phnom Penh – Koh Dach Island

    Enjoy breakfast at the hotel, then cycle to Koh Dach Island and see the life of the people living along the banks of the Mekong River. Go on a couple of fun ferry rides with the bikes and ride through traditional villages then stop at a community craft workshop. In the afternoon, visit the Royal Palace (home to current Cambodian monarch – King Sihamoni) and the infamous Tuol Sleng Prison, also known as Security Prison 21 (S21), Tuol Sleng Prison is a former high school that was transformed into a detention and interrogation center. An estimated 14,000 to 20,000 Cambodians accused of being traitors were tortured to death or sent to their execution from here. This is a difficult but important part of Cambodian history and can’t be ignored.

  3. Day 3Phnom Penh – Kampong Chhnang

    After breakfast, transfer to the ancient capital of Udong, home to many of the old Royal Palaces. You'll pay a visit to one of the remaining stupa’s before cycling on rural back roads into Kampong Chhnang Province, with plenty of stops for photos, iced coffee and treats.

  4. Day 4Kampong Chhnang – Battambang

    In the morning, the group will transfer to a local ferry and cross to the western side of the Mekong. From there, you will cycle through the rural countryside around Neng Konrey Mountain. After a picnic lunch, back to the ferry for a transfer to lovely Battambang town where you will spend the next 2 nights.

  5. Day 5Battambang

    The tour starts after an early breakfast with a day cycling around Battambang. We explore some hidden places and a visit to the slightly kiche but fun “bamboo train”. The riding takes you through the villages and rice fields including the pre – Angkor Complex Phnom Banon temple. Later, explore Phnom Sampov from where Cambodia was ruled by the Khmer Rouge.

  6. Day 6Battambang - Siem Reap

    This morning you will start with a transfer by boat to Siem Reap crossing the immense Tonle Sap Lake. The Tonle Sap Lake is the beating heart of Cambodia and nearly half of the Cambodians live off this lake. It’s the largest freshwater lake in South East Asia and its biodiversity has put the lake on the ecological 7 wonders of the world. The transfer takes about 4 hours. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, you will pass the floating village of Chong Kneas. This large sized village is a bustling trade center for fish, other lake “products” and tourism. The arrival will definitely be one you will never forget. You will cycle the 12km (7.4mi) into town and settle into your hotel. You will take a private cooking class in the afternoon to learn the secrets of Khmer cuisine, which becomes your dinner at Champey Restaurant.

  7. Day 7Siem Reap - Angkor Temple

    It'll be a pre-dawn start this morning to catch the incredible Angkor Wat temples for sunrise. It’s worth it! We enjoy breakfast at the temples then escape the crowds on bike as you cycle to explore the lesser-known temples of Angkor Thom (Bayon) and Ta Prohm (where Tomb Raider was filmed).

    Enjoy a picnic lunch (own arrangement) on the grounds overlooking the temples and ask the local guide your questions on the amazing history of these UNESCO listed temples. Afterwards, cycle back to town and our accommodation. Tonight the group will enjoy a farewell dinner at one of Siem Reap’s best restaurants.

  8. Day 8Good byes & depart

    Today is departure day when you will say goodbye to the wonderful local guides, and each other. Collect emails of your new friends, and arrange your transfers to the airport or onward journey.
