  • Where does the tour start and end?

The tour starts in Florence and finishes in Rome, Italy. Florence is served by Florence Airport (FLR), while Rome is served by Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO).

  • How long is the tour? How many days of cycling?

The tour is 8 days long with 6 days of cycling.

  • What's the tour like?

You will cycle on a slightly hilly route during the whole tour; in between there are longer flat sections. You will find yourself almost exclusively on asphalt tracks and quiet side streets, partly also bad road conditions. Only very short sections are on busier roads, especially when entering or leaving cities.

  • Will I receive travel documents?

Yes, this tour includes digital travel documents and app access. You will receive a download code approximately three weeks before your departure, which gives you access to the On-Tour app containing all digital information about your tour. The digital travel documents include a detailed route book describing your daily stages, transfers, and recommended stops, as well as GPS data for your preferred navigation device.

If you prefer a printed route book, one is available for an additional fee. Upon arrival, you will also receive printed documents such as your hotel list, any vouchers for additional services, and luggage tags.

  • What will happen to my luggage?

The Tour Operator brings your suitcases and travel bags reliably from one accommodation to the next. Instead of having to maneuver a fully packed, heavy bike, you can relax and concentrate on the cycling, the landscape and making many unforgettable memories. In the handlebar and saddle bag you only need to bring what you need during the day. Simply leave the effort to the competent ground team.

By the way: If you don’t feel like cycling, the weather is too bad or if you suffer a minor injury, the transport service will offer you a ride if possible! Call the service hotline to ask.

    Some reminders
Daily service: Your luggage will be transferred by the ground team every day and will be ready for you in the hotel in the evening. However, we ask you to leave your luggage in the specified location in good time so the driver can stay on schedule. You can find out when and where to drop your luggage in the travel documents.

Weight: Please think about the backs of the drivers and only bring luggage up to a maximum of 20kg. Better to have one more bag than one very heavy piece of luggage.

Liability: As luggage is loaded several times during the tour so pack carefully, as the Tour Operator cannot accept liability for damage to handles or wheels. Unusual luggage and currency are also excluded from liability.

  • Where will we collect the bikes?

The personal tour briefing will take place on the first day of cycling. Please check the tour folder provided at your arrival hotel for the exact time and any updates.

Your bike handover is scheduled at Arezzo train station on the first day of cycling, between 10:00 and 11:00 am.

Unforgettable Journey Through Stunning Italy

I can’t overstate how much we enjoyed this trip. Each day we thought it just couldn’t get better - and yet it did. The stays were breathtaking and the scenery along the way was stunning. We loved the e-bikes- they made the hills so much more fun. Most of the hotels were great and even the ones that weren’t were still fine. The Tour Operator organized everything perfectly and were very friendly and responsive. We’ve already booked another trip!

Wonderful bike tour - mainly in Umbria and mostly away from tourist flows with top Italian cities such as Florence, Perugia, Assisi, Spoleto, Narni and Rome. This combination of sporting activity and sightseeing is simply the perfect fit for us. With an e-bike, it also makes the whole thing a bit easier and more pleasant, of course. Not to forget the Italian Dolce Vita, the good food and the coffee, of course!
